Our Mission

Our mission here at The Care Project is simple: to provide compassionate, attentive, reliable and empowered care.

With this in mind, we have created a short term respite service, using these principles as the foundation for all that we do and have to offer.

Our carefully curated service provides much needed respite to our service users, and in turn, their families and loved ones who are often their full time carers.

We understand the effects of carer strain and ultimately the “burn out” that can be faced by full time carers. Consequently, we offer a stress free, safe, comfortable and caring space (almost a home away from home) intended for our service users to utilise a few days/weeks at a time.

Services

We aim to cater to individuals diagnosed with:

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Learning disabilities/difficulties
  • Profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)
  • Sensory impairment

However, our services are not limited to the above as we recognise there is a vast range of health conditions – everyone has a unique diagnosis ultimately requiring respite in some form or another.

We appreciate respite allowances are often commissioned to a set number of days in the year, and will do our level best to ensure your days spent with us are comfortable, fulfilling and memorable (and fun too!) regardless of the length of your stay.

Your Support

Our service users are able to benefit from 24/7 care provided by our in house staff, inclusive of personal caremeals and activities, tailored to each individual and at the level you require – we respect your independence and encourage this throughout our space, empowering you to make decisions, take action and participate in all aspects of your care.
